Dear Sirs,

I recently found your reenacting group and wanted to contact you regarding flintlock
repair. It is often difficult for reenactors to locate a gunsmith who is skilled in the
area of flintlock and percussion musket repair. I am a licensed gunsmith and have been
working on flintlocks and percussion muskets exclusively for the past 3 years. Given the
distance between our locations you might think that it would be costly in impractical to
have me make repairs for your group. In most cases only the lock of the musket is need
to remedy common problems with flintlock and percussion guns. Most locks fit into a
small flat rate box (free at the post office) and can ship for less than $5.00. I would
like to invite you and your fellow reenactors to visit my website at
www.flintlockrepair.com and consider my services should you need them.

Even if you are not in the market for a repair, visit me from time to time as I also
offer flintlocks and a few percussion muskets and pistols for sale. Some of what you will
find at my website are...

1st Model 1756 Pattern King's Musket (Brown Bess)
3rd Model East India Musket
Roger's Ranger Musket
1740 Potzdam
1757 Spanish Muskets
1777 Charleville Fusil de Chasse
Ketland Officer's Fusil
3 styles of blunderbuss
British Heavy Dragoon Pistols
Germanic Dragoon Pistols
Scottish Murdoch Pistols
Royal Highland Regiment Pistols
1733 French Pistols

Thank you for your consideration and if you have any questions or would like to discuss a
repair issue please feel free to contact me at:

Nice to find an active group! My ancestor was Daniel Thompson. His daughter married Woburn's Josiah Pierce who was partner with Loammi Baldwin founding Flintstown Plantation, now West Baldwin, Maine. The house and barn they built there still stand. Jo Pierce VI keeps it yet. It would be very interesting to go over how Daniel was killed at the Bloody Corner.
